ADI—The Automotive Dealership Institute—has received approval from the Arizona State Board for Private Post-Secondary Education, license number V1273 pursuant to the Arizona Educational Code. This approval means that the state regulators have determined and certified that an institution meets minimum standards established for integrity, financial stability and educational quality, including the offering of bona fide instruction by qualified faculty and the appropriate assessment of student achievement prior to, during, and at the conclusion of its course. Arizona State Board for Private Post secondary approval does not imply any endorsement or recommendation by the state or by the Board. All courses listed in the ADI catalog have received approval by the Board.

Algan

CFO – Dean of Education

Dean Algan is responsible for developing and structuring the ADI’s course curriculums. She holds instructor and associate director certificates from the BPPVE. Previously Dean Algan served as director of education at two F&I schools. Prior to that, she was an experienced F&I director who was responsible for lender relations, contracting and cash management at a large automobile dealership. She also conducts ADI’s automotive lending workshops in Asian Pacific in conjunction with The Asian Banker. Dean Algan studied at Northwood University, majoring in Automotive Marketing and Management. She serves on the board of teaching faculty for the Banking Academy – Education Centre for Practicing Professionals for The Asian Banker.

Founder / Chairman Emeritus

Mr. Algan is responsible for establishing ADI’s policies and procedures, as well as overseeing daily operations and long-term strategic planning. He has spent more than 14 years as an owner and director of operations, respectively, of two F&I schools. Prior to that, he spent 18 years in the automotive industry in senior management positions, including a stint as vice president of an international leasing company. In 1992, Mr. Algan wrote the popular authoritative resource guide, Automotive F&I Management, the first book of its kind admitted and cataloged by the U.S. Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Enormously successful, the book has sold out each of its five editions.

Cheryl

Piantedosi

President

President, Cheryl Piantedosi has 30 years of experience in the automotive field as General Manager, General Sales Manager, Sales Manager and Finance Manager. She is responsible for instructing ADI’s Automotive Finance Management program.Ms. Piantedosi managed Saturn of Scottsdale for 9 years – first as a Sales Manager, then as a General Manager. She was responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of all departments with an emphasis on the finance department. Prior to that, she worked as a Director of Sales for Saturn Retail of Arizona.Ms. Piantedosi’s other prior experiences include; Beaudry Motor Company, General Manager of Saturn of Tucson, Sales /Finance Manager of Mitsubishi Division and Fleet Sales Manager of Automotive Division.

Algan Doker, Esq.

Legal Counsel

Ms. Doker received her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, California in May of 2007 and was admitted to New York State Bar in 2008. While attending law school, Ms. Doker served as a law clerk for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office (2005), and also completed a summer associateship in a Barristers’ Chambers in London, England where she assisted in litigating high profile cases in the Royal Courts of Justice (2006). Ms. Doker was also an accomplished member of Southwestern’s Trial Advocacy Honor’s Program. During her tenure as a trial advocate, she took first place in a trial competition hosted at Southwestern, and placed as a semi-finalist in a national trial competition hosted in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ms. Doker’s legal background includes an emphasis in Copyright Law, Entertainment/Media Law, Patent Law and Business Law.

Dr. Robert W. Serum serves ADI‘s management team as a trusted advisor to ensure the highest quality of education. Dr. Serum also assists with the continued development of ADI’s curriculum and the overall direction of the institution to preserve ADI‘s philosophy of maintaining the highest standard of education.Dr. Serum served as Vice President of Academics & International Programs at Northwood University until his retirement in 2007. During his 34 year tenure at Northwood University, Dr. Serum was the leader and coordinator of academic program content in all locations and for all programs. He also oversaw the start-up and accreditation of Northwood’s first MBA Program. In 1992, Dr. Serum became Vice President of Academics for the entire institution.He holds and A.B. In Business Administration from Hope College and and an M.A. And Ph.D. From the University of Alabama. Dr. Serum is the recipient of the 2007 Automotive Education Excellence Award from Automotive Industry Education Foundation and the honorary doctor of laws from Northwood.
